Did you know:
By 1959, Dickson was growing and it was in need of an education building. The Finance Committee asked for a special anniversary offering to pay off existing debt related to pews and air-conditioning. The Church had a debt of $4,500 and need to pay this amount off so work could begin on the education building.
The Finance Committee wrote a letter to the Church. An excerpt flows.
“For the sake of Christ our Savior, out of gratitude for those who wrought well in the years gone by, and for the sake of our children and all those who in the future will be served by Dickson, let’s do our best on stewardship of His people.” - Finance Committee
By 1961, the education building was complete. At this time, there were 500 members attending two services.
