Did you know? - Fun Facts about Dickson Baptist Church

Did you know - September 4, 1892 was the original start date and the Baptist Church of Christ at Chaddick was the original name. There were 7 charter members that day.

Did you know - Dickson was originally a railroad stop about three miles outside of OKC. A stop on the railroad similar to Crutcho, Choctaw, and Harrah. The town was originally named Chaddick.

Did you know - Chaddick post office name was changed to Dickson, July 17, 1896, and discontinued August 15, 1906.

Did you know - At a business meeting on August 5, 1905, the church voted to change the name of the church to the Baptist Church of Dickson.  It was spelled Dixon.  However, all legal documents had it spelled as Dickson.

Did you know - April 4, 1937, the struggling church voted to become a mission of the Kelham Avenue Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
